We are looking to add on Experienced Class A CDL Owner Operators to our fleet. We want contractors that are looking for a long term company with drop and hook lanes with steady work and good pay. Contractors that are looking to be a part of our team and work together with our dispatchers to succeed. We want contractors that are looking for a company that won't micro manage, or spell out where to fuel and how to use GPS.

- Type: 90% Non-Hazmat, 10% Dry Van Hazmat.

- 2020-2024 Dry Vans with AirRide (90% of the fleet).

- Pay: 80% of AGR GROSS (Average rate per mile for Hazmat contractors: $2.00-$2.30).
- Payment Schedule: Weekly, settled out on Friday for trips delivered between Monday and Sunday. We send a direct deposit every Friday.
- Fuel Card: Available, with Loves locations required for fueling if using our card, fuel deducted from settlement.
- Tolls: BESTPASS transponders provided, tolls deducted from settlement.
- IRP Plates: Available for a weekly payment, no upfront cost.
- IFTA: Mileage chargeback, required to use our fuel card if using our IFTA.
- Trailer: Provided and maintained by the company. Included in the percentage, so no extra fee.
- Escrow: Required, deducted in weekly installments.
- Cameras: Outside facing cameras in all trucks.
- Home Time: Typically, owner operators are on the road 11-14 days and take 3-4 days off.
- Passengers: Allowed with passenger policy
- Pets: Allowed for owner operators with their own truck, but not at certain customer locations.
- Unloading: No touch freight, mostly drop/hook (70%).
- Night Driving: Depending on the load, but most of our driving is during day hours.
- Orientation: 2-3 days, starts every Monday. Contractors responsible for transportation costs.
- Sign-On Bonus: Not offered.
- ELD: Samsara ELD used. We provide it.
- Truck/Trailer Washes: Trailer washes covered at BlueBeacon locations. Contractors responsible for truck washes.
- Weekly Pay: Based on 80% of AGR GROSS. Average AGR GROSS is $5,000-$6,000 weekly before any deductions.
- Empty and Loaded Miles: Not paid per mile, paid for ALL-IN miles.
- Fueling: Loves locations required if using our fuel card or IFTA. Otherwise you can use your own anywhere.
- Tolls and Scales: BESTPASS and DriveWyze provided if using our IRP plates.
- Orientation: No payment for orientation, contractors responsible for costs to orientation with their truck
- Home Policy: Flexible, based on work location and schedule.

Payment and Compensation:
- What is my weekly pay?
- Our contractors are paid 80% of the AGR GROSS. Your take-home will vary based on how much you work. Average rate per mile for HAZMAT contractors is $2.00-$2.30. Average AGR GROSS is $5,000-$6,000 weekly before any deductions.
- Do you pay for empty and loaded miles?
- We do not pay per mile; you are paid 80% of the AGR GROSS.
- When am I paid?
- We pay out weekly. All trips delivered between Monday and Sunday get paid on Friday. Some banks hold direct deposits for an extra 1-2 business days. Most contractors see the funds in their account over the weekend or Monday/Tuesday.
- Do you offer a sign-on bonus?
- No. Our goal is not to get you to join based on a "sign-on bonus" trick that most companies use. We prefer to offer you steady work and good pay.
- Am I paid for orientation?
- No. Contractors are not paid for orientation.
- Do you offer a fuel card?
- Yes, if you want it. Fuel is deducted from each settlement. We fuel at Loves locations. No credit check is required.
- Where will I fuel?
- Contractors can choose to fuel anywhere they want. However, if you use our fuel card or IFTA, you must fuel at Loves locations.
- Do you offer EZPASS for Tolls or Scales?
- We provide BESTPASS transponders for all trucks using our IRP plates. Tolls are deducted from your settlement. For scale bypass, we use DriveWyze.
- Do you offer IFTA?
- Yes. IFTA through us is charged on a per mile basis from each trip, and you are required to use our fuel card. You can also use your own IFTA.
- Do you offer IRP plates?
- Yes. Plates through us are deducted weekly from your settlement, no upfront payment is required. You can also use your own IRP plates.
- Do you provide a trailer, and who pays for maintenance?
- We provide a trailer and we pay for maintenance. Damages are your responsibility.
- How do I wash my truck/trailer?
- We pay for all trailer washes at Blue Beacon locations. You are responsible for your own truck washes.
- Do you have cameras?
- Yes. All trucks have outside-facing cameras.
- What ELD do you use?
- We use Samsara, a very easy ELD to use. We provide it.
- Are you W2 or 1099?
- Contractors are 1099.
- Do you require an escrow?
- Yes, deducted weekly in installments untill you reach your max.
- How much experience do you require?
- 2 years minimum, but we prefer contractors with 5+ years.
- How old can my truck be?
- All units must be 2019 or newer.
- Do you require a recent DOT inspection?
- Yes. The DOT inspection cannot be older than 30 days and must be from LOVES, SPEEDCO, TA, or PETRO.
- Do you require BOBTAIL/NTL Insurance?
- Yes. You must provide your own bobtail/ntl insurance. This is standard practice at most companies that accept owner-operators.
- Do you require a copy of my paid IRS 2290?
- Yes, it must be in the truck owner's name or the owner-operator's name. It cannot be in your previous company's name. It must have vehicle category V selected, which is for 80,000 vehicles, and should be up-to-date with an E-File or Paid Stamp.
- Do you need to pre-approve my truck?
- Yes. Send photos of your truck to (314)480-5589.
- How do your contractors make that much with ELD?
- 70% of our freight is drop/hook. While others are waiting to be loaded/unloaded, you are rolling.
- Do you offer drop/hook?
- Yes, about 70% of our loads are drop/hook.
- Do I have to unload the freight?
- No, we are a no-touch company. Most of our freight is drop/hook.
- Do you run customer freight or broker freight?
- We run about 80% direct customer freight, 10% dedicated broker freight, and 10% spot freight on our backhauls to customer locations.
- Are you forced dispatch?
- No. However if you accept a load we expect you to complete it without giving it back.
- Do you require nighttime driving?
- No, but if you have hours to drive and you aren't tired or sick, then you are expected to be on time. If you are empty, take the night off.
- Where do your lanes run?
- 60% of our lanes are in the Midwest, 10% in the Southeast, 10% in the South, 10% in the West (up to Colorado), 10% in the Northeast.
- Your ad says you go to the Northeast; where in the Northeast?
- We don't go to New York City or high traffic areas. Our Northeast freight goes directly to large warehouses and industrial locations like Harrisburg, PA, Butler, PA, and Hartford, CT. We don't take freight to high traffic areas since most contractors don't want to drive in those areas.
- Do I have to have an X endorsement to start?
- X endorsement is preferred on CDL but not required to start. 90% of our freight is non-HAZMAT, and 10% is dry van HAZMAT freight.
- What is your home policy?
- Most of our owner-operators are on the road for 11-14 days, then take off 3-4 days. However, some more, some less.
- Can I take my truck home?
- Yes. But if you have the trailer, you must stay connected to the trailer. However, if you are by one of our yards, drop lots, customer drop lots, or your own preapproved yard, you can drop the trailer and go bobtail with your truck.
- Do we allow passengers?
- Yes. A passenger policy is required and the passenger can not be a CDL holder.
- Do we allow pets?
- Contractors with their own truck can have pets. However, you will not be able to operate at certain customer locations that do not allow pets on their lots.
- How long is your orientation?
- 2-3 days. We start orientation every week on Monday. Depending on the size of the class, we can get done in two days, but usually, it rolls over into the third day.
- Who pays for transportation/hotel during orientation?
- The contractor is responsible for their own transportation with their semi-truck to our terminal for orientation.
- Am I required to bring my truck?
- Yes.
- What do I need to bring to orientation?
- Valid physical copy of CDL Class A, Medical Card (short form is fine), your truck, passport if you will travel to Canada (optional), copy of title, copy of lease with owner if your LLC is not named on the title, copy of IRP cab card if you have your own plates, copy of IFTA license if you have your own IFTA, Bobtail/NTL certificate naming Silver Trucking as additional insured, DOT inspection from Loves, Speedco, TA, or Petro not older than 30 days.
- Do you offer lease if I do not have a truck or are you a company driver only company?
- Yes, we offer owner-operators, lease, and company driver positions.
