Palmetto Trucking Co., LLC is preparing to launch operations and we're hiring a CDL-A driver to haul equipment using a drop deck trailer across state lines and regionally. Opportunities for other types of loads such as gravel and fertilizer may arise soon and could create the option for more localized, regional hauling as well. We're offering a chance to grow with a new company built on integrity and safety. Applications will be reviewed and interviews will be scheduled and conducted by management. 

Position Details:
- Type: Full-time over-the-road & regional
- Equipment: 2013 Peterbilt 389 EXT; Drop deck/lowboy trailer (2022 Muv-All 5470 HDGX Trailer)
- Freight: Equipment; Fertilizer; Gravel
- Home Time: Weekly (negotiable depending on schedule)
- Base Pay: $0.60 – $0.70 per mile (negotiable based on experience and safety record)
- Breakdown Pay: $75/day if truck is down due to mechanical failure (not driver caused)
- Bonuses: Negotiable at year-end based on performance and safety record.
- Start Date: 4–8 weeks (interviews starting now)

Requirements:
- Valid CDL-A (required)
- TWIC card preferred but not necessary
- At least 3 years of verifiable CDL-A experience (required)
- Flatbed or specialized equipment experience preferred
- Ability to secure and tarp loads when necessary
- Clean MVR - Must pass DOT drug screening and background check - Strong work ethic, professionalism, communication, integrity, and accountability
