CDL Class A Dump Truck Driver

SPB Contracting is seeking a full-time CDL Class A driver to operate dump trucks and assist with utility and excavation work across Worcester County. This role isn’t just about driving—it’s about being part of a close-knit field crew that builds and maintains critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate 10-wheel and 6-wheel dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, stone, asphalt, and pipe.

• Load and unload materials from plants, gravel pits, or stockpile locations.

• Assist the field crew with labor duties when needed (lifting tools/pipes, shoveling, etc.).

• Safely operate and load equipment including:

  • Wheel loaders

  • Backhoes

  • Excavators

  • Mini-excavators

  • Skid steers

  • Dozers

  • Asphalt rollers

• Transport small-to-mid-size equipment to job sites using a 20-ton tag trailer.

• Follow safety protocols and work within a team environment on active utility construction sites.

Requirements:

• Valid CDL Class A license

• Ability to drive and shift manual dump trucks

• Experience operating heavy equipment preferred

• OSHA 10 certification required (we can help you obtain one)

• Reliable transportation to and from the yard (Millbury line in southeastern Worcester)

• Must live within 20–30 minutes of our equipment yard

• Positive attitude, agility, and willingness to learn are essential

• Ability to work Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm (occasional later hours for site safety)
